The Bay Area Mexica Queer Trans Two-Spirit Collective (BAMQTTS) was formed to promote a safe and celebratory space for our fellow two-spirit, queer, trans, and gender-expansive danzantes. Historically, Two-Spirit, Queer and Trans Indigenous peoples were some of the first to be othered, forcefully indoctrinated, and murdered by colonizers and continue to be today. Yet, we are still here, surviving, thriving, and reconnecting to bring our traditions back!
